From early September to late May, the first three Wednesday evenings of the month are a hub of activity at Central! The evenings begin with dinner at 5:45, followed by a special program at 6:30. The 1st Wednesday of the month is a Taizé service, the 2nd Wednesday is all-team meeting night, and the 3rd is a special Christian education-related program. Topics for the 3rd Wednesdays vary widely and often look at incorporating Christian faith into everyday life.
Note for 2012: Because several special days and events happen on Wednesday nights - for example, Ash Wednesday - some programs are not on the expected 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Wednesday. Be sure to check the dates below, as well as checking the CPC calendar.
In addition to eating, worshipping, relaxing, discussing, working, and learning, Wednesday evenings are a great opportunity to get to know other members and visitors! We look forward to seeing you soon.
Dinner is served at 5:45, and the suggested contribution is $5 per adult and $3 per child. Please RSVP by noon the preceding Monday by calling the church at 472-2445 or email

Taize Service (1st Wednesday)
The program for every 1st Wednesday of the month is a Taizé service in the sanctuary. Taizé worship services feature peaceful music (often simple, repeated phrases) and quiet reflection. Come enjoy this restorative, contemplative space in the midst of a hectic week.
Here are some sources of more information about Taizé:

All-Team Meeting Night (2nd Wednesday)
The 2nd Wednesday of each month is (usually) all-team meeting night, when each of the church's teams meets to plan and carry out much of the church's work. These teams are led by elders and consist of any members and visitors who want to be involved. There's more information on the ministry teams page. Everybody's welcome and encouraged to participate!
