SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR WEDDINGS & RECEPTIONS

NOTE:  ALL fees are to be mailed to:

no later than two weeks before the wedding.

Members: (who have been active members for at least one year before the wedding date)

  1. Facilities: No Charge
  2. Custodian:
    • $125 minimum for the wedding (or more, according to cleanup demands; see custodian fee schedule for non-members) This includes 1 hour for the rehearsal and 4 hours for the wedding
    • $75 for reception, if it is held in Smoot Hall
  3. The organist: Nathan Quiring. Generally $225, possibly more, according to complexity of music requested and any rehearsals with soloist. For soloists, add $25 per song
  4. The Pastor' services are available without charge to members as a ministry of the church.
  5. Wedding Director (OPTIONAL) (Same fees as non-members) Strongly recommended for weddings of 4 bridesmaids or more. Required if you are using a guest pastor and the pastor of Central Presbyterian Church will not be co-officiating.

Non-Members:

  1. Facilities:
    • $500: Includes 4 hours Sanctuary use for wedding and 1 hour Sanctuary use for rehearsal. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to hold the date, with the balance ($300) due by 2 weeks before the wedding. The church is normally opened 2 hours before the ceremony.  Air conditioning or heat will go on 2 hours before the event. Any additional time for use of the facilities is charged at $30 per hour.
    • $125 for Smoot Hall if reception is held there.
    • $25 for small wedding (couple and two witnesses, no decorations)
  2. Damage/Rules Deposit: Effective August, 2005, all weddings require a damage/rule deposit of $200 which is due two weeks before the wedding. Please make a separate check. This check will be held until after the wedding. Providing there is no damage and no rules are broken, the check will be returned to you with "void" marked on it. If damage is done or rules are broken, it is up to the head wedding director to deduct the appropriate amount. Bringing any alcoholic beverages into the church at any time results in the lose of the entire deposit.

  4. Organist: Nathan Quiring — Generally $225, possibly more, according to complexity of music requested. For soloists, add $25 per song. If a guest organist is requested, it is at the organist's discretion to allow it, and he will be paid $25 for his time to communicate with the guest organist.
  5. Wedding Director: $150   Central Presbyterian has several Wedding Directors.   6. Pastors- if you have Central Presbyterian's pastors officiate for your wedding: Fee $225  Please contact pastor directly to check availability for your wedding.. (Pastor head of staff: Rev. Greg McDonell at 472-2445) NOTE: counseling sessions are required- please see Wedding brochure.

PARKING: (members and nonmembers)

Central Presbyterian does not own parking, but the Perry Brooks Building Parking Garage, 1/2 block south of the church on Brazos Street,  is available for a fee of $5 per car, estimated, paid in advance. Checks are to be made out to "HBA" and mailed no less than three weeks before the wedding to CPC, att: Kathi Thomas. She will forward your check with information about date and time to the parking garage people. It is required that you sign a release of liability when using the parking garage, which Kathi Thomas can forward to you. (Kathi@specialweddingflowers.com) Another option, for weddings that are 6:30 PM or later, is to let your guests park on their own, as both the garage next to the church (on the corner of 8th & San Jacinto) and the Perry Brooks Garage are open for paid parking beginning at 6 PM.
