This form must be returned by one week prior to the wedding, signed by the bride or groom and the Photographer and/or Videographer. (you may make a copy of this, if needed) Without this on file, no photography or Videography will be allowed.
The wedding ceremony is a worship service. Photographers, both amateur and professional, must observe these guidelines:
1. Photographers are free to take pictures before and after the service in any part of
the building.
2. Once the music has begun, the only flash pictures that may be taken of those of the
processional. The photographer may be in the church, no more than 4 rows in
front of the back balcony. Photos should not hold up the processional. The
Photographer must leave the sanctuary AFTER the bride has passed where the
photographer is stationed- the photographer should be as unobtrusive as possible
in leaving.
3. Time exposures, with available light (no flash) are permitted when taken from the balconies.
4. Flash pictures are permitted from behind the congregation during the closing
recessional only, and may be taken from the balcony or from the narthex. In NO
CASE may the photographer enter the church to take photos once the bride is down
the aisle.
5. Photographers and videographers are asked to be as unobtrusive and quiet as possible.
6. Ordinarily, photographs are taken after the service, following departure of the
worshipers. Photography must be completed within 40 minutes from the end of the service. If taken before the service, photography must be
completed by 30 minutes before the wedding. Remember that the air doesnt go on in the church until 2 hours before, so if you are taking photos
before, the bride may want to purchase extra church time.
7. All photographic equipment that will be used during the
wedding should be placed somewhere other than in the sanctuary (no going back
and forth into sanctuary to get equipment during the wedding).
8. Smoking is not allowed in the church at any time, and no food or drinks may
be taken into the sanctuary.
9. NOTE: If a Video Recording of the service is made, it must be done unobtrusively.
Videos should be shot from the balconies. This matter should be discussed ahead of time with the
wedding coordinator. Videographers and
photographers are not allowed in the chancel or nave during the wedding.
An "unmanned" video camera may be placed in the choir
loft, as long as it cannot be seen from the congregation.
10. Anyone shooting from side balconies must be in place by 15 minutes before the wedding,
and must stay in place during the entire service.
